My tradition...ahh...
Well, I'd say it harbors on a slightly conservative side. For example, young are not permitted to formally study without parental permission, and they must be at least 16 years of age. We recommend that teens work on meditating and reading, if allowed.
Theologically speaking, we believe in the one Supreme Energy, which is expressed and understood via the God and Goddess. We would say we are monotheists, but most would probably agree that "monism" would be a better term (the belief of all powers being one power, as a short explanation). We place a slightly higher emphasis on the Goddess as the One who brings Life (gives birth), but we place a high value and focus on balance within ourselves and without.
~ponder~ What else...ahh, we do not practice skyclad, at all. We prefer ritual robes. There are both coveners and solitaires in our tradition..we have a three degree system, only second degrees are allowed to teach. My initiating High Priestess is actually a Witch Queen, she's had covens hive off from her own. We believe in the threefold law...the Rede...standard Wiccan fare, really. If you have any specific questions I can aswer, feel free to ask.
Blessings, ~D

MM Hello. I am coming up on my first year of the craft. I have been side tracked by life for a few months and I am now going to try to get back into it again. I live in ut and will be turning 30 soon. wow 30. I feel old.
Well anyway I joined the board to try to learn some new things and also meet others in the craft. I hope you all had a blessed Yule. ;D Well I will go look at the board. I am looking for some ways for alternative healing for my mother. Her legs are always swollen and she has bad water gain. I hope i can find something to help her. If you have any suggestions drop a line

Hey there, Welcome to Wiccan Pride (im just curious - how did you find out about us?)
30 isnt old... i mean, your not even 1/2 done your life yet...so its nothing! ;D and 30 just means...more wisdom
If you have any questions or concerns or just want to post something...go ahead and do it! Everything is welcome
And I think there is a thread under 'spells and rituals' right now titled "alternative healing" already! I hope your mother gets well soon...
Hope to see you around!
Blessings!

Hi, everyone, I feel like a noob here... my name's Kate, I'm 17 on the 23rd February. I've been interested in Wicca since I was about 11, but I only had the chance to actually research it a little while ago. Since then I've been reading about it nonstop. I have viking blood on my mother's side and gypsy blood on my father's side. I enjoy reading the runes. Well... I guess that's the intro. Blessed Be. )O(

Thanks for the welcome. My dad is tracing his family tree, and my great grandmother's husband was a Romany gypsy prince... I don't know if that was official, or just with his people. But I still thought it was cool when I heard it. And my mother... well, when she and my grandmother went to this burial site in Cornwall, they both got this weird flashback, and that's how I 'know' about the viking thing... kinda lame, I know. I wish I had been there though. I found this board on google when I was looking for a New Moon ritual. There's so much information here.
