Yay! I was just shopping around today and I came across this BEAUTIFUL peice of cloth. And I just thought, wow its PERFECT for my altar. Its made of Egyptian Silk, its shiny (lol all silk is!). Its a pale, light green color with pink flowers (and sorta green flowers)really hard to describe but its beautiful. Its definitley more of a spring/summer altar cloth. So i guess I'll have to wait until next year to use it Oh well But Im VERY happy with my purchase - youd think itd be really expensive being Egyptian silk, but no it was for an amazingly good price! Well just had to share lol!!! I love finding good deals and decorations for my altar! (lol yah this is a really small thing, but hey - you can post for ANY small thing or question! Whatever!)

awesome! lol my altar cloth is a large cut up t-shirt!!! My athame's glass and too big for my altar so I keep it in a shadow pic. box above my altar and I needed a background color so decided to get a t-shirt and cut out part of the front. Then for the rest to make it match I turned it over and lay it on it's back... it fit perfectly and still had some overhang!! I was very glad lol. Egyptian silk... wish I had some of that! lol sounds great! Do you have different altar cloths for the seasons, sabbats, or just full moons or just w\e? lol. I was thinking about getting white or silver for full moons but Idk.

I have altar cloths according to the sabbats - so basically the seasons. If its summer outside, Id probably put a nice summery flowery altar cloth. Its a nice touch to things...it really gets me attuned with the seasons and gives it that extra 'feel' to it. And of course, makes the altar look better. lol yes its egyptian silk. I wonder if thats popular. But it was incredibly cheap - how could i resist? lol. What a steal! Thats very original Lunar - the TShirt thing! lol Ive never heard of someone doing that, very creative! Learn something new everyday LOL what do your parents think of you cutting up your shirts lol! Wow! Are you SURE your athame's glass? That would be prett-ay cool!!! (lol you know - the little sword/dagger type of thing - glass? WOW ive never seen a glass athame before! Do you have a picture? Id love to see it! )

lol, yes I'm sure it's glass haha. Actually, my mom helped me cut up the shirt lol but she didn't kno the rest would become an altar cloth hehe. Yeah, my athame's beautiful.. they're hand made too... and NOT cheap!!! I'll try and send in a pic... although I don't know how well the glass would show up on camera?? worth a try. I had another "backup" type athame that wasn't breakable (the Egyptian one you have only in bronze or brass or something lol) but my *older* sis kept playing with it and stabbing things with it..so... yeah... wasn't that spiritual anymore lol. It's just decor now... lol.

WOW wicca chick the alter cloth sounds pretty. Glass athame? hmmm.... WOW! I haven't got much for my alter i've just pernolised it. I have a big statue of a macaw sitting in the middle a few candles and an insence burner. My cloth my mum got from the second hand shop she ended up using it to block out the sun in the morning (not that i mind the sun) but then got sick of it and chucked it in the closet, so of corse i claimed it. When I go to sydney in August (cant wait) and go to the markets i'll be getting myself an athame ;D and various other things. I just hope my exams are on in august other wise I won't be happy. >( ;D lol.

Ok my forign (i think i splet it right lol) friends I'm going to let you all in on a little secret with vegimite if you already have not figured it out. The secret it butter! you first smuther the bread with butter, then you spread a little bit of vegemite not too much ;D make sure the bread is fresh. Do not eat vegemite straight! Ewwww sour is that what they did to u lunar lol. Hmmm..... I would like to design my own athame and then get it made. But I guess one could say that it lures me to it, hmmm and one that reflects my peronality i guess.

I have a beautiful athame that Lunar got me for Yule. Its got a bronze casing with a shiny blue pattern kinda thingy lolz. And it has a beautiful chain connecting the casing to the actual blade part. And it also has a red tassle on it! Hehe I love tassles! Sadly tho I don't have an altar cloth..I was thinking about maybe using my sarong as an altar cloth but I didn't want to get candle wax all over it hehe. So right now its just everything right on the altar. My altar is a circular table. Its very small. I want a bigger one. I am currently looking for a nice altar cloth but I don't have much money. O well. It will come to me eventually. Sorry if I'm rambling now lolz. Blessings

lol yes you definitely dont want to use a sarong as your altar cloth! Also - I dont really recommend getting a really expensive altar cloth - trust me, no matter how careful you try to be, candle wax drips always ends up getting on it... Thats why I avoid buying altar cloths over 5 bucks or something. Oh wow thats so cool, i wish i had wiccan friends too lol! Imagine shopping for wiccan tools for a wiccan friend for gift exchanging on yule! awwww... You guys are soo lucky lol!

Yes..I also feel very lucky to have Chrissy. Its wonderful having a friend that's Wiccan. Not many people are Wiccan..I feel so sad about how misunderstood it is.

Hi TS Well I dont think you'll be able to get it online, unless you have a credit card or something, so that's probably not an option... I dont know about getting it at stores - but I think you would have to be 18+ for them to sell it to you, cuase in the end - even though we know its for ritual purpose, it is a dangerous tool. But IF you do find a store that will sell it to an underage....i guess that works for you! Well about the price it really depends where you get it, what type of athame you get, etc. For my athame - it was around $25, i got it off Ebay for a really cheap price. And it wasnt anything of high quality (not like lunar's glass athame or something ) Just metal with an egyptian style with the goddess wings and hyroglyphics, etc. (you know which one im talking about lunar...lol) So for on the internet, you can probably get them around $20 or $30 But at stores it will be more expensive than online...there are cheap and expensive ones. But at speciality wiccan/pagan stores, Id suggest you bring at least $30 - those specialty stores are expensive! And you know -if you dont have an athame, use something else in replacement for now - for example your wand. Blessings!
