I just got through reading The Vampire Trilogy by Anne Rice, and The Real Witches' Handbook by Kate West. Now I'm reading Memnoch the Devil (Anne Rice) and The Real Witches' Kitchen (Kate West). I got a load of books for my birthday. I love reading.

I like reading too! Too bad I dont have much time for pleasure reading now as I use to! Youre a big fan of Kate Weste arent you she's pretty good, in my opinion! Simple, easy to read, nicely laid out, etc. Sounds like you got some GOOD books for your birthday! People just know what to buy you eh, lucky!

I never let my family get me surprises. It's one of my rules. I always tell my parents in detail what I want, and I order it myself if there's any chance they could mess it up. I just wanna be sure that I get exactly what I want. Yeah, for my birthday I got The Real Witches' Handbook, Year, Garden and Kitchen. Kate West is pretty cool. She knows what she's talking about (I think. lol).

Yup, Kate West knows what shes talking about! I learnt a lot from her books Theyre quite interesting!' Thats smart, telling your parents exactly what to get i mean i always get things that i would rather not have or just never what a i really want - i should make a list and send it around next time..hehe...but my parents wouldnt listen anyways, theyd still buy their own thing - theyre convinced surprises are fun! lol So I'm guessing that your parents are supportive of you studying and practicing Wicca? Thats great

I was brought up no particular religion, so that I could just learn about a lot of things and choose the one that best suited me. Plus, they figure if I'm not hurting anyone, I should do what makes me happy. They're pretty cool people. And since my sister was flipping through my handbook, she's decided to learn more about it and go to some new-age supply shops with me. What about your parents? Are they suuportive of the whole Wicca thing?

That sounds a lot like me and my family as well. I was brought up with no particular religion, and I dont think they care what religion I am. Plus they think the whole magick thing and how it relates with witchcraft is really flaky - and that its just all make believe and just a phase. But I think I've already proved its NOT just a phase! I guess I COULD say that my parents are supportive - but they are probably more passive. If I ask them to buy a book, they might. And my mom always buys me stuff for my altar, but mainly its cause she works at a place that sells that kinda fancy stuff. And its awesome that your sister is becoming interested in Wicca as well! I think that its so awesome that...i mean you guys coudl walk the path together, do rituals and share info and everything together! Isnt that wonderful, its great to have a sorta buddy with this kinda thing! Really helps motivate ya!
