SlayerDrow....Thanks ;D
haha no theyre not for sale...lol i doubt anyone would actually buy them anyways. Cause for the effort i put into drawing them...theyd be worht A LOT to me...and if i sold it for the price it was worth to me, nobody woudl buy it. (cause i mean it could never be worth that much to them) I hope that makes some sense lol.
Wow I'd love to see your drawing of sarah michelle gellar. I cannot draw people if my life depended on it lol! So id LOVE to see it. Make sure you get it scanned soon!

Thanks Tribal Spirit I draw every now and than when i have time... Ive actually been doing less drawing now...and more painting - in art class. We dont exactly paints the 'best stuff'...we paint like pots and flowers. (so it doesnt look THAT good...i mean how nice can you make pots and flowers look? lol) Maybe I should take a photo of those sometime and post it. Do you draw or do any art yourself?

hmm- well done. You've gotten your blending down- good for you. Most people get it uneven. Horses are tricky- well, I can do 'em better than most else things I do, but alot of people have trouble. Your doing great. How long you been doing art? Want a little constructive critisism? You've got lots of potential- to further your talent, concentrate on form- look at photos, or better yet, real horses. Watch how they move. Draw just one little part of its body over and over until you get used to it- especially the harder parts like the face and legs.
They look great:D
Wicca chick;
Yah- Im doing romantisism painting in one of my classes, and Degas style acrylic painting in my other class. Tricky stuff, canvas is, eh? Pain in the butt when your set bows. Your doing pots and flowers? Are they sunflower, by any chance? lol. Most art classes do Van Goghs sunflowers-

I did it three years ago- grade 9 ( van gogh ) unfortunatly no- I dont have a scanner. if we ever get my webcam fixed, Ill snap a few photos and post em up.
You've definatly got a better hand with a brush than a pencil- this brings me to believe that despite the quality of your drawings- they arnt to your full potential. Im not an expert, but here is a tip thats really proven itself valuable to me.
- Dont draw with your hands. Draw with your arms. Sweep your entire arm across the page when your drawing, try to avoid bending your wrist too much.
- Dont erase mistakes immediatly- stand back and look at your work before your decide if you need to erase part- it always looks different from a distance.
- And finally- if you find youself getting frustrated and erasing everything- put your eraser away. You'll always need it less if its not beside you- dont ask why, lol.
You seem an experianced artist- and these tips are the basic of basic- so you probably already know them well. But sometimes it helps to hear it from someone else. Congrats on your paintings, ESPECIALLY the watercolor- its fabulous. How long have you been into art?
Im more of a conte, charcoal, graphite rather than painting. I was just recently introducted to painting- but it seems I have a decent hand at it. Mostly im a sketch artist but I also thrive on romantisism, impressionism, pointilism, and even some native art. What you do prefer?

Blackbird -- (sorry the reply took so long!) Those are some good tips! Thanks! I'll try and really keep the drawing with arm thing in mind! And for not erasing immediately...I try not to! Sometimes at first my drawings look really bad, but if I just gave up, I wouldn't have anything. But as I continue...things take shape and start looking better. So I always try not to give up or erase immediately if things don't look so hot lol. Thanks for the compliment on the watercolor We did some work on it this year; so I think I've improved a lot....at first I was *really* bad at it, but I really tried for that one. So I'm guessing you think watercolor is what *I'm* a bit better at....when compared to acryllic painting/sketching? How long I've been into art....oh that's hard to say. I've never really been like *serious* into art - Im still not. Like I really like it - but I only do it every now and than. and I take art courses in high school cause I enjoy it and its almost like a spare for me. I don't ever think I could become an artist or something, its just an enjoyable past time. What about you? DO you want to become an artist? For what I prefer....I guess acryllic, watercolor and just sketching with a pencil. I've tried charcoal a few times; but I guess i don't really know how to use it! I also like a bit of sculpting and than painting it. And for styles of art...Im not really sure lol! In art class we mainly focus on hands-on art instead of studying history or styles, which I'm grateful we don't do that too much. I'm not a huge fan of art in a textbook. Thanks for your comments and tips again! Later!
