lol apparently I am!!! Almost everytime I pass through a fabric shop, I HAVE to go in and buy something!!
Well I hardly have any money after purchasing a laptop, I have $10 and guess what? I spend it ALL on altar cloths today! Guess I cant really resisit...!
Today's Purchases: 1st Altar Cloth: Its sort of like satin, its see through but it has these AMAZING fall colours and patterns! teh color is like red, yellow, ornage, brown blended with pics on them...its GEORGEOUS!!! (it was originally $13 a meter...but it was 50%, could i resisit? NO!) 2nd Altar Cloth: its this shiny white material!!! Its SO cool, its sort of like the shiny prom dress materials lol. I bought it to go with the altar cloth above. I woudl put this one under and the satin thing on top so it'd look shiny, pearly and nice!!! (& I think this also makes a nice esbat altar cloth)
Geee....if i drip wax on this, i will kill myself lol. :S I will try SO hard not to!!! lol....its going to be my mabon altar cloth!!!! lol im already planning for the next sabbat, im always so excited lol. HAha i should get pics of my altar cloths lol! (i have a huge collection - most filled with wax stains that i dont use anymore lol!)
Well thats it, I just had to share. I really love shopping for altar cloths dont i? ITs just cause i keep ruining them, candle wax stains! Does ANYONE know how to get those out....?!?!? I would be SO grateful lol...
Blessings
Edited to update title!

Hmm Chrissy told me once...put it in the washing machine and then like let it dry and it should scrape right off I think. Worked for me.

Ohh that might be a good idea....but some of my altar cloths are pretty delicate...like satin, silk, etc....and im not sure if the washing machine would destroy them lol... but i'll definitely try it on my less expensive ones that are ruined lol. i hope it works!
(Ive tried scrapin them without washing them, the wax comes of but it leaves a hgue stain...:S)

[glow=red,2,300] lol, remember that blue velvet one I have for the Blue Moon and esbats? i got s drip of wax on it when i was lighting a candle but i didn't noitce until Blue Moon ritual was over and its hardened already! i pinched out the candles and turned on my dim light and i saw it, i was like "no!!" lol, im gonna look for a way to get it out on the internet, ill try putting it in the wash.
WC-, maybe you can try to hand wash your delicate fabrics, maybe that will work.... [/glow]

Thats some pretty good info there... and i have all the stuff needed for it...hehe lots of nail polish remover at home for me...i always use it i love nail polish lol...my toes are dark blue right now (my fingernails are on a break...) But I'll definitely test it on the edges of the cloth first....nail polish remover is known to destroy a lot of stuff. Like for example i spilled it once over plastic (accident) before. You know how plastic is sorta shiny...it turned So dull and rough and got dirty so easily...

[glow=red,2,300] geez to plastic?! ive never spilled it or anything, it always goes on my nails lol. my nails have bee painted everyday for about a year now lol. yea, i tried the iron on my blue velvet, and it works! i was shocked, it does work you guys, but you do need some layers of paper towel, it soaks through like water lol. i would be careful tho not to get the iron on another parts of the fabric cuz ur holding the iron on there for a little bit, you dont want it to burn! check the towels frequently, it seeps through fast. and when you move the paper towel, be careful as to where you turn it or put the iron on it, if the spot is on clean fabric and the iron is sitting on it slightly, it may re-melt the wax onto that spot!
