Dandelion A patch of wild flowers are concealed in shadow Unwanted and kept out of sight Lost in a world where wanted flowers grow Wildflowers are the losers of the competitive fight. A mist lies upon the petals And glistens in the light of the moon Water droplets on the wildflowers flow Like tears they for too soon Disgusted by the unnecessary "weeds" Wild plants are effortlessly removed and replaced. In their silent absence the dandelions plead, And return next year with a smile on their face. Though, why continue to return and suffer When removing dandelions is presumed Why do dandelions grow when preferred is another? And when their entity and purpose is doomed. Another day, another year and the dandelions multiply. This time beside roses, as they sing a somber song. An early death waits, the dandelion doesn't understand why A dandelion is a flower, so in a garden why doesn't it belong?

i thought it might be something like that, i mean the tone almost sounded as if you were watching the flowers. makes the reader feel like they're watching too ^-^ some of the best inspiration comes from watching things in nature. i can't watch anything for too long, an ant, bird, whatever, without mentally writing out some sort of story. lol i'm writing one in my head for these kittens too. it's almost sad really, i can't help it
