City of Glass
A pale moon rises Above a broken city of glass The shards of forgotten memories The ruin of a beautiful mind
Where once there was laughter Echoing through crowded streets Now is replaced with silence Permeating empty ruins
Streets once full of life Love and laughter Now replaced with death Blood and glass
What could ever destroy such beauty? What attacker would commit such horrors? Twaas the heart, twaas when the heart died And the mind turned on its flesh
