Okay...these are my poems...enjoy...lol
Princess
The rain falls around as she's perched upon her throne.
Her squires and servants and riches
Could never explain why she's so alone.
Purple clouds and lullabies enver sparing her a glance.
Opportunity bid her take its hand, but she has lost her chance.
Invisible chains and barriers ever hold her down.
Her struggles shake her up so much, she's almost lost her crown.
This life is not a life enough to satisfy her needs.
THis world is never good enough to answer this girl's pleads.
She walks out to the garden, thunder cracking overhead.
The all stroll out later, and realize she is dead.
There Was Never Much Hope
Dodging glances on the sidewalk
Their stares are heavy upon my shoulders
I keep my head held high, my jaw set
For fear that if I don't I may collapse,
under the weight of pressing failure
I can't breathe
Nightmares closing in
Unlived dreams fleeing into the starlight
A chill wind, the breeze of defeat freezes my flesh
Cloaked in only the worn fabric of promise
It has been torn to merely a rag
A breath of reality tears it away
I stumble into a gaping hole that had been
enshrouded in lies
Groping in the darkness trying to retrieve that last shred of light
I want to believe there is still hope,
though I know there never was any.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow is a day when dreaming ends
Shoved into the taunting face of reality
Thrown into the cold hands of death
Your soft song has faded
It can no longer guide me
Darkness falls all around
There are unshed tears in my heart
If only I could escape into your soft eyes once again
If only I had a new start
Faded Light
You shone for me on rainy days
You were there when skies were dark
But now you're gone, I'm here alone
You will never shine again
Nighmares will haunt me
Dreams never come
Tear after tear, staining the page
This book is never done
I know you are living, no longer in pain
I know you are happy, so why aren't I?
A Fallen Friend
A single flower floats down from the tree
There are plenty more that I can see
But now there is one less before my eyes
I guess that's what happens when a flower dies
That flower was most beautiful, perhaps prettiest of all
I never expected it to soon fall
It should have lived on, forever and a day
But that is merely a dream, for it has gone away
Seeing Red
It hurts to look back and she's scared to look forward.
She looked beside her and you were not there.
It takes effort to smile and it's so hard to laugh.
This great loss she is feeling is too much to bear.
A knife falls to the floor, slicing her foot.
She winces, but slowly slips to the ground.
She tastes her first drop of blood, and her heart begins to pound.
So this is what death tastes like,
This rushing crimson flood.
Her existence has been altered, by that one drop of blood.
She stumbles into the bathroom, voice choked with sobs
She gropes for the faucet and she turns it on
As she gazes at her reflection,
She wonders why she cannot stay
But knows that all the reasons have long fled away.
Eyes red and swollen, she whispers a goodbye
She plunges into the water and hopes that she will die
She wants it to be over, she wants this pain to end
She lets the darkness claim her, she's finally found a friend.
