Imbolc Poem
Velvet violet splashes the morning sky Golden hues, oranges, reds and yellows glow Crystal icicles blaze gold and snow flakes fly As the Sun awakes and kisses the crimson painted snow
The frosty Earth greets the sun sleepily Frigid winds whistle in salute Patches of Earth and animals peek out meekly The Goddess Brigid strides the Earth, Her eyes astute
Her touch mingles with the warm sunlight Healing powers flow from Her, cleansing and healing the land Flames blaze from her head, inspiring creative delight Her heart carries a song of lover and the ability to understand
With Her hands, she teaches the power of strength and renewal Strength in people’s relationships, commitments and tools they make Then Brigid kisses the Earth, sending strength to a glistening jewel And watches as the Sun brings the Earth awake

Thanks! Happy Imbolc to you to I was thinking about actually using the poem...as an offering for Imbolc:-/ but how would I do that? just recite it during ritual in thanks? or something else? I've already done food offerings before...but their kinda hard to 'hide' and before I would put them outside, but my parents always noticed it...then I stuck some candy during Samhain on a nice tree stump in our yard...my dad found those-he thinks neighbor kids did it:P so I'm running out of ideas...I need a secret way to do offerings

Yes, even reciting the poem during the ritual would be very good. Not all offerings have to be 'materialistic' (as in food and actual things that you can touch and see) Words can be just as powerful, meaningful and appreciated. So the poem would be fine. Or even both (poem + food offerings, i mean why not? You have both the poem and the food)
And for food offerings and your dad finding them...i dont know how big your property is cause i think you mentioned having a river and beautiful trees in your backyard... but for ME i just take my offerings to the local park...haha that way my parents wont be...whos been dumping stuff on my lawn lol...
And even reading the poem a second time...i still go 'wow, its soo good'
Happy Imbolc!

wow, that is really good.
for my offering, i did it in my little "backyard" we had lots of snow and it was everywhere, so it wasnt too suspicious if there were spots missing snow. plus, they dont really pay that much attention to details sometimes..
